This cafe is absolutely stunning with its incredible food and coffee. The long black was exceptional, just a tad short on the pour but bursting with flavor... delicious! The avocado on toast was also fantastic. They offer a variety of delightful treats to snack on, including their premium almond croissants. Had a delightful visit, second time here. Definitely go in the morning... visited late afternoon and many animals were asleep or hiding. (Previously went in the morning and had a much better time!) Staff were helpful with any queries and the wildlife park has a great layout, with plenty of informative posters and interesting exhibits. The gift shop is lovely, haven't tried the food yet but heard good things about it (apart from the prices aimed at tourists). Visited Hippopotamus for supper. Their spot is very classy and the decor is well put together. Opted for the Theatre menu. I may have set my hopes too high, but I was anticipating a spectacle of them plating our dishes right in front of us. Instead, we had a staff member do the plating in front of us, lacking effort or entertainment value. Just slicing the meat and serving it. This left me underwhelmed by the Theatre menu and somewhat dampened my evening and dining experience. We assumed there would be some cooking happening before us, not just slicing.
Don't get me wrong, the service and staff were genuinely warm and pleasant. I just feel they need to inject a bit of wow factor into the Theatre menu. Bellamy’s is owned by Logan Brown team so the quality is always amazing and stable, we went at lunch time for a three course set menu, with reasonable price, quite a few options, and you can order sides for extra portion. To entrance you need to walk into beehive first, go through security team, then take elevator go upstairs to the restaurant door.
