Visited Hippopotamus for supper. Their spot is very classy and the decor is well put together. Opted for the Theatre menu. I may have set my hopes too high, but I was anticipating a spectacle of them plating our dishes right in front of us. Instead, we had a staff member do the plating in front of us, lacking effort or entertainment value. Just slicing the meat and serving it. This left me underwhelmed by the Theatre menu and somewhat dampened my evening and dining experience. We assumed there would be some cooking happening before us, not just slicing.
Don't get me wrong, the service and staff were genuinely warm and pleasant. I just feel they need to inject a bit of wow factor into the Theatre menu. I've loathed my locks for ages till I came here. It'd been over a year since my last snip, and I was lost on what I wanted. All I said was, "I don't know what I want but I loathe my hair." Diamond suggested ideas that I loved and executed them flawlessly. She also gave me tips on hair care at home, which I truly appreciated. She was so caring, and I felt well taken care of.
I usually fret about arriving early to appointments as I don't want to seem pushy. I'm quite anxious, but I felt at ease once there.
During my visit, I opted for the scalp treatment, and it was incredibly relaxing. It was my first time, but I can see myself returning for more scalp treatments even if I don't need a trim.
I have no complaints. My scalp feels revitalized, and with the thinning in the cut, my hair feels much lighter. I adore the outcome. I work with people, and I believe I'll feel much more confident there.
I paid $150 for the scalp treatment, shampoo, and restyle, and for me, it was definitely worth every penny.About

I had my hair styled and colored by Jade and goodness, I'm a huge fan of hers. My hair was a complete mess before, and she transformed it beautifully, I'm absolutely thrilled with the result! AND she made the whole process enjoyable (never once did she criticize my hair that resembled a cheap, neglected discount store wig), plus I swear getting summery blonde highlights in winter is a remedy for seasonal blues... Studies are pending, but we really should look into it, shouldn't we?
