Believe me, I've never encountered such a disappointing experience with a hairstylist before. My stylist, originally from New Zealand, started off amicably, but things quickly went downhill. Despite clear instructions for a simple crew cut, he seemed unable to grasp them. Towards the end, when I pointed out a misalignment in my haircut, he became defensive, claiming I should have mentioned it earlier. It felt like he was making me out to be the problem. A relative visiting from Austria searching for an addition to an existing tattoo that had been done in Aotearoa New Zealand about five years ago ended up booking with Jaco in his new fabulous studio. Not only was Jaco super responsive, his advice on the design of the tattoo was top-notch and he even took the time to redo the original tattoo (done by a different artist) to ensure everything looks fantastic. The barber was exceptional. I got precisely what I asked for, and the execution was superb. Furthermore, the pricing was very reasonable and ended up being more affordable than I anticipated. Absolutely dreadful. Waited nearly 3 hours for a haircut that never happened (got it in 5 mins from Ray’s around the corner). Spent my time watching one worker barely moving and the other man lazily on his phone, despite a long line of customers. After a single 40-minute cut, he took a food break, while we waited into our 3rd hour.
