Consistently left waiting around 45 minutes for every single appointment. A $27 fee for a document emailed next door to the pharmacy. MMH (Manage my Health) could be excellent, but messages and repeat requests remain unanswered for days, necessitating multiple emails/phone follow-ups - something to consider if on life-saving medication/s.
I've been attending the Aotearoa Medical Centre for over 20 years. Absolutely fantastic team. I've been so fortunate to always have incredibly caring women as my doctors. I'm sure the others are great too, but I appreciate that I've consistently been able to see the women. A truly exceptional team of nurses and management staff. Island Bay is truly blessed to have such an outstanding clinic. Absolutely no complaints. Very involved with their patients, and devising plans for recovery!! 🙏🏻🩷
I've been a longtime patient and my initial doctor was, in my view, quite incompetent. My MS went undiagnosed for years because he believed I was feigning symptoms to obtain drugs. I WASN'T. Then Dr. Whakarongo arrived and diagnosed it within a week, along with diabetes. He retired, and now I have Hannah who is also REALLY excellent. She listens and treats holistically and is very approachable.
