Karaka Cafe distinguishes itself not only through its exceptional culinary creations and inviting ambiance but also through its heartfelt tribute to Maori culture, infusing the dining experience with a unique cultural flair. The cafe skillfully weaves Maori traditions and aesthetics into its decor, menu, and overall philosophy, providing guests with an immersive experience that transcends mere dining.
We ventured here for a midday meal based on a suggestion from a team member at Te Papa museum. Opted for the crispy Pork bao buns and crispy fried calamari. Both dishes were delightful. The iced tea was wonderfully fruity and invigorating. Our dining experience was quite enjoyable. The staff were incredibly helpful and amicable. Just be mindful of the pigeons scavenging for crumbs. 😂
