Had a delightful visit, second time here. Definitely go in the morning... visited late afternoon and many animals were asleep or hiding. (Previously went in the morning and had a much better time!) Staff were helpful with any queries and the wildlife park has a great layout, with plenty of informative posters and interesting exhibits. The gift shop is lovely, haven't tried the food yet but heard good things about it (apart from the prices aimed at tourists). If you're interested in a close encounter, MAKE A BOOKING IN ADVANCE or you might miss out!
What an exceptional experience at the wildlife park today. We got to see the kea bird!!!! I feel incredibly fortunate to have had this opportunity. The staff were extremely engaging and helpful. I will definitely be returning :)
Absolutely stunning! Worth every moment. Quick ferry ride out of the city and stop right at the entrance. Such a beautiful day out. Animals easily visible and the caretakers are incredibly knowledgeable and happy to answer any queries. This might just be my favourite wildlife park to explore, and I've visited quite a few. Smaller compared to some of the Australian wildlife parks, but much more charming and far less crowded.
