If you have, or are thinking of getting moko Hine / Twisted Roots is the guru you're after to help your journey! Over the past couple of years Hine has tamed free form moko, made new ones and done maintenance for both myself and my partner. Moko always look fab at the end of each session. The whole experience is always so welcoming. Hine is just one of those warm souls, the studio is so cozy with great tunes, a relaxing rural outlook, and an incredible collection of art and moko related trinkets for sale that seems to have expanded in offerings every visit. Hine is very efficient at what she does, and her pricing is extremely reasonable considering the magic she works in each session. The only disappointing part is you wish you could melt into the comfy chair a bit longer after your much anticipated maintenance session feels like it flies by so quickly yet again! 🤭
What can I possibly say about a dream that Hine made a reality. From a disaster to art. From the moment I reached out to Twisted Roots, and the conversations that ensues, I knew I was in the right hands. Taking the time to understand, and apply advice, guidance and course of action reassured me Hine was prepared for the challenge that lay ahead. What a challenge it was going to be 😄. Meeting Hine for this journey of repair of my existing moko and building a full set, but also repair of my self confidence, especially after wearing a beanie for so long, even this artist was like wooooo, this maybe a 2 session mission 🤣. Hine went ahead with a plan and worked her magic, from 8 moko, to 34. After a massive effort of 6 hours of pure commitment from her, she revealed the finish product. Not going to lie, abit of a teary moment, joy, excitement, all sorts of emotions. Hine far exceeded my expectations, she is a true artist, some sort of magic went into this. Professional, knowledgeable, patient, understanding an absolute gem. Plus her set up is such vibe, joy of the view and nature. Would 1000% recommend!!!! Thank you so much chick, am absolutely in lov with my moko. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
After admiring moko on others for years, now seemed the perfect time to get my own – and I was lucky enough for fate to bring me to Hine. Wow, did she do an amazing job! It took 10 hours to hand-stitch a full head of new moko and extensions, and honestly Hine has the patience and kindness of a saint. It was time to relax, chat, rest, admire the garden, and the time flew. Her skill and artistry are out of this world and I was so happy with the end result – exactly the transformation I was wanting. Love love love my new moko and can’t wait to see how these ladies find their voice over time! A million thanks, Hine, for your brilliant work, you’re the best.
