My recent trip to Postie Ashburton didn't meet expectations. While the store has a decent product range, the customer experience fell short. The staff's overt monitoring made me feel unwelcome and uneasy, as if I was under unnecessary suspicion. While I understand the need for security, the way it was handled lacked in customer service. I left feeling frustrated and disinclined to return. I hope management works on enhancing the ambiance to ensure all customers feel valued and respected.
Great spot. And good crew, not just one. Had two bad run-ins with them, so here's my feedback and gripe. They're very impolite and biased. Popped in on Saturday at 4.40pm, knowing they close at 5pm. As I entered, she quickly mentioned they were closing soon, to which I replied no problem. But then at 4.51pm, she reiterated the closing time to me, despite other customers being around. She seemed fine with them but had an issue with me, even though I had 9 minutes left to shop. She just said I don't know why and then proceeded to chat and laugh with other customers. I spoke to another staff member about her behavior, made my purchase, and left the store at 4.58pm, while she was still engrossed in conversation. No issues when closing time was near, but she rushed me before. This isn't the first time; once around 4.20pm, she warned me not to open too many T-shirts and shorts as they were closing soon. I stayed quiet then, understanding the closing pressure, but why only me every time? She'd then turn to other customers and laugh, displaying rude and biased behavior. If she dislikes closing duties, perhaps the manager should reconsider her role. Other staff members like Carole (hope I spelled it right) are lovely and provide excellent service. Thank you, Postie. Please continue to appreciate the good staff and address rudeness.
