My cousin just arrived from abroad, and their English isn't strong. They went to Cut & Style in Sandringham for a quick haircut. Shockingly, it only took 5 minutes, but they were charged $50. This seemed absurd to me, as I've been to many salons, and even for a lady's cut, it's usually $35. I couldn't fathom why they'd charge $50 for a rushed cut. Plus, the quality was poor; it looked terrible, upsetting my cousin. I wouldn't recommend this place due to the high price, rushed service, and lack of care.
I've had many great haircuts here, but this time, a barber with a beard and nose piercing did a terrible job. He was completely impatient, refusing to listen and saying, "Once you sit, you stay quiet, or I'll stop." From the start, he was rude, handling the clippers roughly, causing pain on my head and neck. The result wasn't good, and when I asked about the guard size and gave honest feedback, he was very rude. He then asked someone else to take payment and left, even looking angry when I thanked him. It was a terrible experience, and I won't recommend him. After the cut, I noticed marks on my neck where he had been rough with the clippers, causing a burning sensation. This guy should be let go!
My dad went to get a full head shave and beard trim. When he asked for a full shave, the barber replied, "Which guard size?" This made my dad doubt the barber's professionalism. While cutting, two other barbers in the shop were overheard discussing how much to charge. The haircut wasn't complete, only taking 5 minutes, and the beard trim also took 5 minutes. The barber needed help during the process. The total cost was $50. My dad said, "In my 27 years in New Zealand, I've never encountered such an unprofessional barber."
