Seems a bit off, but it was a rather distressing encounter that has deterred me from revisiting this Woolworths spot. They offer a wide range of products, it’s a larger store compared to the one in Auckland Central. There were Black Friday deals happening. Purchased potting mix and compost for the garden. The staff seemed preoccupied, I needed assistance but they merely observed without offering help. No greetings at the checkout counter or when exiting the store. Absolutely appalled and disgusted by the way a young lady (Pakeha or European with straight hair) treated my 3 year old daughter when she innocently tried out a bike horn while we were looking to buy a bicycle. It is unacceptable to display rudeness and irritation towards a child; customer service skills are clearly lacking. Treating others with respect should be a basic principle. I have never encountered such hostility towards a child before, and I will not be returning to this place. This incident occurred at approximately 1:45pm near the bicycle section on 21 July 2024.
