Regrettably, my encounter with Paul was less than satisfactory. Being a newcomer to the salon, I had specifically requested a stylist proficient in dry cuts. I also made it clear that I preferred my natural curls to be accentuated, without straightening my hair. Despite this being a fairly standard request, I was made to feel as though it was odd. Had high hopes as the consultation was friendly and the individual (I'm assuming a senior stylist) seemed very knowledgeable. However, the service and cut itself were underwhelming. The scalp massage was virtually non-existent. I ended up just getting my very thick hair thinned out and straightened, with minimal styling, not worth the $95 I paid. The individual was quite rough and seemed irritable towards the end of my cut, possibly due to another client who was dissatisfied with their coloring/styling session. Hemi completely missed the mark on understanding what I wanted for my hair... I explained my expectations multiple times. I trusted him to give me a look similar to one of his assistants. Throughout the process, he kept changing the price for the color application every 15 minutes... and ended up charging me more than I've ever paid for my hair in the last 5 years, with disappointing results. I reluctantly agreed to the process as he had already applied bleach to my hair, leaving me with no other options... even after showing him images and patterns, he did what he pleased or imagined in his mind... I didn't expect an exact replica, but at least something similar. The staff is friendly, no doubt, as that's part of their job... but that doesn't justify the salon's high 4.9-star rating... please refrain from giving inaccurate ratings as it can ruin someone's hair that they have to live with after paying a hefty price... a total letdown... 😣☹️ the first image shows his work, and the second image depicts what I had hoped for. Hey, I'm quite disappointed with the service I received at this salon. I recommended my partner to come here for a haircut as I am from India and have known James for 3 years. When we arrived at 3 pm today, James informed us that there was a 40-minute wait because there was another customer ahead of us, which was fine with us. So, my partner and I went for a walk outside and returned at 3:40 pm as instructed. However, James then told us that we couldn't be accommodated because there were more people waiting now. Being a 32-week pregnant woman, I was willing to support his business and didn't mind waiting in the winter weather, but I was turned away. What's the point of making an appointment then? It feels like a complete waste of time. This is not how business should be conducted, failing to keep promises.
