I went to Pak'nSave today to buy a 5kg bag of Surf Laundry powder. It was advertised at $14 with smaller text specifying the weight. Near the display were unopened bags. I assumed it was $14 per bag. At the checkout, the cashier couldn't scan the barcode. She went to fetch the barcode and returned, saying I had to open the bag and scan each package separately. The total came to $42. Absolutely not, I'm not paying that. It's misleading because the staff are too lazy to unpack the bags and the price tag is in small print.
Huge shop with a wide range of products, you can always snag a good bargain there. The staff aren't overly helpful; I couldn't find a specific toy, so I approached one of the employees, a young lad who seemed barely old enough to work there. He just pointed me to the toy section. I explained that I had already searched there for the last ten minutes. He insisted I look again. After another fruitless search, I asked another staff member who informed me they were sold out. On the bright side, there's always ample parking available. It would be beneficial to provide some training to the young employees on how to be more courteous and helpful.
