I have a small pigment on my cheek, so I found this local Kiwi business through Google for my first-ever skin/beauty appointment. I met a consultant in early August and was quoted $165 for 3 laser visits monthly. Great. I informed the beautician I'd book in October, which I did via email. That's when things got tricky. I received an email response stating that what I was quoted was for an Autumn procedure (note autumn is April/May in NZ). Instead, I was told I needed to book derma needling for $500-700. At this point, I couldn't tell if it was incompetence or a sly upsell - who knows! So, I didn't proceed with the treatment. Ten days ago, I received a survey, likely from the 'on and off' marketing department. I raised all my concerns in it. Guess what - no response. I suppose I won't get one here either! Dropped by Janis today for a scalp therapy session and it turned out to be a fantastic choice! It felt like a spa experience, beginning with a relaxing neck and head massage, followed by an hour-long treatment while seated in a massage chair. Enjoyed a complimentary cup of tea afterward. How can i get there
To get to Janis Beauty & Scalp Clinic at K13/28 Remuera Road, Newmarket, Auckland 1050, New Zealand by public transport, take bus number 70 or 75 and get off at the Newmarket train station. From there, walk northwest on Remuera Road for about 5 minutes to reach the clinic. If driving, head towards the intersection of Remuera Road and Nuffield Street, then turn onto Khyber Pass Road and finally onto Remuera Road to arrive at the clinic.
