I arrived in a week ago and wanted to book something that offered great attention to cuticle and heel work. I discussed this at the counter and booked a mani and pedi which included all these things plus a massage. The atmosphere is truly lovely and I feel it sets a scene that leads you to expect more than what the service actually delivers. It's been a week now and my nails are already chipping and lifting, with a lot of skin tears around my nail. The experience felt very rushed, with 2 people working on me and an electric tool used to buff (grind) my nails. I find this approach to be quite heavy-handed and causing significant damage to the nails. My nails became really hot and it was painful. I would recommend some training on massage as I understand it won't be lengthy but that doesn't mean it shouldn't be good. It's been a week now and my nails are already lifting and chipping. I usually get 2 weeks out of my gel manicures.
I had a manicure and pedicure with gel color package with my sister to pamper ourselves for the festive season. However, the service we received was quite different from what we expected. My sister had both her manicure and pedicure done on a spa massage chair simultaneously. Hence, when I moved to get my manicure done, we had to sit apart and couldn't talk to each other.
