I had Grace for a head spa and it was absolutely lovely. Never had one before (saw it on social media) and it combines all the best parts of a massage with a really thorough hair wash and scalp care that's far beyond a basic hairdresser wash/head massage. Today, saw the sign "Walk-ins welcome," got underarms done messily and eyebrows with a cut on my eyelid, bleeding. Lady's excuse was "busy, no time for walk-ins, but took me in anyway." My response: you could have turned me away or booked another time. Rude lady, awful experience. Performed really well and accommodated me slightly earlier than my appointment. TV with music videos playing continuously, which is a nice touch to just relax and watch. I was impressed with the final outcome and the pricing. Will definitely return as it's conveniently located near my workplace. Unsure if their parking is also impacted by the council's parking changes, so be aware that you might struggle to find a spot if you drive here.
Edit - revised to 3 stars after multiple visits, I can now confirm it's inconsistent. It's evident that the service falters when (I presume) the proprietor is absent. One individual rushed through my nails and it looked awful. She kept answering personal calls and midway through, someone else took over. Several staff members were loudly engrossed in their own activities on their phones, creating a noisy and unrelaxing atmosphere. Really helpful with suggestions, top-notch products for skincare and makeup, plus the nail products he uses are top-quality and don't harm. I was a "biter" my whole life before I went to Bob, but never felt judged by him, he was really supportive and gave great advice. It took a few years because it's a hard habit to break, but I'm now "bite-free" and love flaunting my nails.
