I visited to have my lashes and brows done a couple of weeks ago, and the salon was completely empty, so I expected a quick service. However, the beautician arrived late and did my brows while on the phone, which I found quite rude. After finishing my brows, she made me wait even longer, still chatting on the phone in her native language and interrupting the service to talk to another staff member. She even paused for a good 5 minutes to share a story, laughing all the while. Truly the most dreadful hairdressing encounter I have ever faced and unfortunately our teenage daughter left in tears distressed from her haircut.
Went for a simple trim of split ends on our daughter’s long cherished hair and the female hairdresser (who also had long black hair) kept on criticizing our daughter, calling her hair “lifeless” and “severely damaged” and ended up cutting off a significant portion of it. She even suggested to our daughter to shave her entire head so her hair would grow back beautifully. Who in their right mind says that to a 15-year-old. A competent hairdresser would understand that ALL hair is lifeless the moment it emerges from the scalp. I visited a salon for a haircut. Showed the stylist a photo of the style I wanted. My hair was originally down to my waist. I agreed to a trim to chest length - around 5 inches below my shoulders. However, she cut it much shorter, above my shoulders. The style she gave me was nothing like the picture. I requested a face-framing cut with no layers at the back, but she added layers all over. I do not recommend her services at all.

Huge thanks to the wonderful Max for his outstanding customer service, product expertise, and endless patience - convincing someone who has always used L'Oréal and Clinique products to try new brands is no small feat, but he successfully won over my nan, who is now a loyal Mecca customer. I am truly let down by my recent visit to The Beauty Spot Wellington. My appointment was set for 4 p.m. on Saturday, only to be canceled 10 minutes prior due to the therapist falling ill. While I understand sickness is unpredictable, the lack of an alternative therapist was disappointing. Cancelling so last minute is disrespectful and unprofessional, showing a disregard for the client's time and commitment. I often pop into this spot and always end up with the same treatment, which is usually alright. I walk out content with my nails. Today, it took a good two hours for a regular pedicure (non-gel) and a basic acrylic set to be done. However, my nails turned out nothing like what I had requested. They're excessively long, an unattractive baby pink instead of the natural nude pink I desired. They're lumpy, bubbly, and the polish is so thin you can see through it.
