The manicure felt rushed, lasting less than 10 minutes, yet I was charged the full price. The quality of the manicure was subpar. If the salon is fully booked, I recommend avoiding walk-ins to ensure each client receives the complete service they deserve. I booked in to get a Keratin treatment on Friday afternoon at the Grey Lynn branch. The communication on arrival was very minimal. I believe that I was given hair straightening with much stronger chemicals instead of Keratin or that the treatment was not done correctly. After the first application, it was washed out very quickly, when I asked why, my hairdresser said it was because my hair was too dry. My hair was not too dry to start with and Keratin has never dried it out before. Also at the end of the treatment, the product was washed out entirely instead of only partially washed out. The hairdresser put a conditioning treatment through my hair before letting me go, because it was so dry. I should have questioned more, but it's very difficult to do so when your hair is in someone else hands. I've had to go to my regular hairdresser and buy nearly $100 of products to keep my fried hair in decent condition. It is dried out, the colour is faded, and it's frizzy in the middle with some breakage at the back. My hairdresser was surprised at how dry it now is. I attempted to leave a message on Instagram, but it did not allow this. The treatment took 4 1/2 hours instead of 3 hours. I would not recommend this hairdresser for this treatment. Terrible customer service with communication. I made a booking on 26th Oct. Received two reminder emails with different times on the same day for my appointment on 11th Nov, but one email had a different person's name? Then, another email was sent to inform me of a 'cancellation'? They rescheduled, and it's now been 4 weeks since my initial contact. I decided to cancel the re-booking altogether as this reflects poorly and speaks volumes about their incompetence. Why would anyone want to use the services of this business if they can't even get it right the first time?
