I recently had a brow lamination and lash lift done by Jemma in New Zealand and I am absolutely thrilled with the results! My eyebrows are naturally thin and require strong waterproof products to hold them in place. However, after the brow lamination, my eyebrows appear much fuller and defined. Additionally, the lash lift has transformed my downward-pointing lashes into a stunning look, especially with a touch of mascara. Jemma is not only skilled at her craft but also a delightful person to interact with. I visited the premises on a Thursday morning before 10 am on the 14th of March 2024 for a brow wax, finding no other clients present at that time. I was asked to settle a $12 fee prior to the service. An elderly individual attended to my brows. Throughout the treatment, she engaged in conversation with a colleague. Upon completion, I noticed that one of my brows was misshapen and crooked, seemingly due to excessive waxing or plucking, the exact method eluded me. I pointed out the error, but she adamantly denied any mistake, claiming there was no hair growth in that particular area before, despite the obvious difference in skin tone where the hair had been removed. Considering my naturally thick brows, I was certain of the alteration. She refused to acknowledge the error and even attempted to fill in my brows with a pencil before I halted her. Had she taken responsibility, I would have been understanding, as errors are human. However, unwilling to engage in a futile argument, I voiced my dissatisfaction and left. Her response was silence, staring at me as if struck by deer in headlights. While my brows will eventually recover, I shall not be revisiting this establishment. My advice is to focus on the task at hand and refrain from unnecessary chatter, as well as owning up to mistakes. Everyone is prone to errors. I hope that other aspects of the business are managed with greater attention. I got the eyebrow lamination and lash lift on 13/8/2021. Amazing spot, definitely suggesting it to my whānau and mates, and will be returning. Grateful they squeezed me in on Friday arvo as I needed it for an event on Saturday, so cheers to kiwi beautique! Syanne was so kind, she explained the process and I decided to try the lash lift. I enjoyed it, but I still prefer lash extensions, always good to experiment though. Very welcoming, made me feel at ease, and I trusted her service. Great for the customer, especially after some bad lash and brow experiences in the past. I even dozed off during the session haha. I would 💯 recommend and might book for nails next time as I've heard Selina is top-notch. The folks at the checkouts are friendly and helpful, but the store itself needs a lot of attention. It could definitely use some renovations to spruce it up. Appears the product is not repairable and quite costly for the short lifespan I experienced. Never mishandled or dropped, I take care of my belongings as I earn my money through hard work. Very disappointing and not worth recommending.
