Even though I understand our health system is strained, I am genuinely grateful for the promptness with which my son received urgent medical attention for his dislocated knee. The nurses and doctors were exceptional. The doctor scheduled a follow-up appointment for 3 days later, then swiftly arranged an ultrasound scan, provided us with a repeat prescription for medication, and ensured our referral to the specialist was expedited. While my son awaits this specialist appointment, I am aware that Rotorua Medical Centre did everything possible for him in a very timely manner. Lack of clear communication with the staff, as they struggle with English, making it difficult to convey my preferences. I requested a French tip pedicure with a darker base to address nail imperfections. It took three attempts with different staff members to finally get my request across. Upon completion, I was dissatisfied with the $35 service and results. When I voiced my concerns, I was repeatedly blamed for choosing a different base color and having a non-flat nail (their responsibility to flatten). The only resolution offered was to return the next day (not feasible) or remove the polish for a refund.
