One of the top new “kids on the block” in the town and the entire region! Exceptional kai and five-star service! Fresh and quite spacious, it’s a perfect spot for kai, lunch, or brunch in the brand new part of the town. Absolutely love everything about this spot. Solid range of kai options for all tastes from light like muesli or pastries to waffles, bagels to burgers. Multiple vegetarian, dairy, and vegan options available on request. We tried delicious avocado, tomatoes, and pesto bagels one day, and they were just perfect, and chia pudding and coconut muesli the next day, both scrumptious. Coffee is top-notch with a perfect blend, but I recommend trying the freshly made smoothies too. If you crave something sweet, there is a good selection of homemade cookies to choose from. The staff and owners are very friendly and ensure everyone is well taken care of. One of the best things about the cafe is the abundance of seating both indoors and outdoors. An added bonus for caregivers is the nearby playground, so they can enjoy a brew while keeping an eye on the kids. Well done Alioke team! I had purchased items from Kmart and had the receipts to prove it, yet I was still treated unfairly. It's disheartening to see such discrimination against women of color in this small town of Nelson. Felt like we were inconveniencing them, rushed job to finish quickly. Some nails have bumps, and a friend found a hair in theirs. Went for a fresh hairstyle before heading back to New Zealand. Colour was not what I requested, almost the complete opposite of what I asked for. The Perm damaged my hair.. severely overprocessed despite my warnings that my hair perms VERY quickly. Had to spend a lot on intensive conditioning treatments at a salon in New Zealand to try to repair some damage. The stylist there was shocked at how terrible it was. Inquired if it had been an apprentice who did it.
