My husband and I tied the knot yesterday and he had a terribly disappointing, appalling and unprofessional experience with getting his hair done for our special day. He had booked the appointment weeks in advance and explained when he needed the haircut to be finished so that he could return home to put his suit on and get to the chapel on time. The hair stylist was running 1 hour late, no genuine apology, still opted to take photos for his business. The appointment was supposed to last an hour but had to be rushed in 15 minutes, yet my husband was still charged $130 (full price) for the service. The groomsmen had to fix his hair at the lodge because it was already coming loose and he arrived 45 minutes late to the chapel. It's one thing to have a lousy hair appointment, but on your wedding day and essentially swindled by being charged full price. My poor husband was so stressed and overwhelmed and shed tears when he returned to the lodge. Thankfully, he is very resilient and he just soldiered on and we were wed and he looked handsome despite the hairdresser's mishap. Stepping into the nail studio was a pleasant surprise. The air carried a sweet scent, a mix of flowers and wood. I discovered it was agarwood, known for its calming properties. Fantastic selection of marine life and aquatic supplies, assisted us in setting up a home aquarium early last year for the workplace and now we have two very plump goldfish π everyone pitches in to feed them. Also have a sizable golden apple snail but returned it to the store, they always provide assistance and can address the fish's health issues. They also maintain clean fish tanks, unlike other pet stores in the area. Residing in Tauranga, my two siblings arrived from Fiji and Wellington to see me. On Friday the 30th of December 2012, we visited the Kiwi Delights cafe for a snack. We ordered some scones and muffins along with two flat whites. I must note that the cafe wasn't bustling at that time. The gentleman who served us didn't offer to warm up the scone, and he seemed displeased when I requested it. It was evident he was irritated. We sat at our table for 20 minutes waiting for the scone and coffees, while the barista and waiter at the coffee machine were giggling and deliberately ignoring us. They even served another customer who arrived after us. When we realized what was happening, we informed them that we no longer wanted the scone and coffee but wished to speak to the manager. The waiter claimed there was no one to speak to, but I went to the next counter and summoned the manager. We received a refund and declined the complimentary coffee voucher as I have no intention of returning.
