I've been a patron for quite some time and I must say, the team here in New Zealand is truly outstanding. They exhibit impeccable manners and are always ready to assist. The pharmacist is incredibly approachable and an exceptional listener. Just last week, I witnessed him going above and beyond to help a customer whose prescription had been incorrectly entered into another store's system, which was also closed for two days. The pharmacist made sure the customer had the necessary medication to tide him over until the issue could be resolved. I always found gyms quite intimidating, but I was always interested in boxing and a friend recommended Bodyshot Fitness. I went to a free trial, and signed up and have been loving it ever since! All the trainers are super nice and encouraging and teach you all you need to know at a pace you are comfortable with. Had a delightful visit, second time here. Definitely go in the morning... visited late afternoon and many animals were asleep or hiding. (Previously went in the morning and had a much better time!) Staff were helpful with any queries and the wildlife park has a great layout, with plenty of informative posters and interesting exhibits. The gift shop is lovely, haven't tried the food yet but heard good things about it (apart from the prices aimed at tourists). Visited Hippopotamus for supper. Their spot is very classy and the decor is well put together. Opted for the Theatre menu. I may have set my hopes too high, but I was anticipating a spectacle of them plating our dishes right in front of us. Instead, we had a staff member do the plating in front of us, lacking effort or entertainment value. Just slicing the meat and serving it. This left me underwhelmed by the Theatre menu and somewhat dampened my evening and dining experience. We assumed there would be some cooking happening before us, not just slicing.
Don't get me wrong, the service and staff were genuinely warm and pleasant. I just feel they need to inject a bit of wow factor into the Theatre menu.
