Arrived with back discomfort and upper back spasms, and was assisted by Victoria. He administered a brief massage and inserted needles into my back before shifting his focus to his computer. Eventually, deeming it sufficient time, he removed the needles and scheduled a follow-up appointment. In my previous experiences with acupuncture, the skin was always cleansed before needle insertion, unlike with Victor. Did I experience any improvement? No.
Despite subsequent sessions, there was no change, leading me to be referred to another physiotherapist, a kind individual named Steph. She provided a thorough treatment for my back, particularly focusing on the ribs, although the results were minimal. After a total of 11 visits, not to mention the time and cost invested, I was directed to a Sports Doctor, which proved to be the best decision.
Following this, I sought treatment from the Knee and Spine Physio on Cameron Road. After the initial session, the spasms ceased, as the physiotherapist identified the issue and targeted a different area of the body compared to Victor or Steph. While they may be adept at simpler matters, they proved to be inefficient in my case, both in terms of time and money.

We departed The land May 2021, and Keoni requests often to return to their 'former school' we miss you all so much and are so thankful for the quality care, kindness and support for Keoni and our whānau during our time at the land, Keoni began at 9 moons old and was 2.5yo when we departed, it’s wild to think that they recall the land so well for a little person, it certainly holds a special spot in their heart, they gaze at the image of them and Te Aroha daily and feel sad that they just want their former school. I can confidently say this daycare is hands down the best. Hope you are all doing well ♥️
