I thought even if I had to wait upon arrival, at least I'd know where to collect it, as I was unfamiliar with that store and the process. Upon reaching the counter, I informed the young man that I had a pickup but acknowledged it might not be ready since I hadn't received any communication. However, when he checked, he said, "We're out of stock, we tried to contact you" (they did not). I received a refund, but there was no hint of empathy for my 10 km drive.
