Yesterday I supported a young man who had deep trauma and shame relating to his hair. The staff at Just Cuts in Auckland went above and beyond to make him feel cared for, valued and handsome. The time they gave to him allowed him to walk away with soft, flowing hair and a huge smile on his face. He walks a little taller now because of their professionalism and care. I heard heaps of good stuff about this spot so I decided to pop in for a haircut. The fade was solid and the trim on top was okay. The lineup was a letdown. Both sides weren't even and my hairline was a tad wonky too. The lineup is probably the second most crucial part of a cut after the fade. Building customer loyalty is key to keeping folks coming back regularly. Scheduled an appointment well in advance for a significant event (father of the groom) and had a detailed discussion with the hairstylist beforehand about my preferences. Upon arriving at the salon, I was informed that she was absent as she had to accompany her father somewhere. Later, it was mentioned that she was feeling unwell. I had to opt for another stylist to do my hair and ended up paying more than the initial agreement. During my visit, another client arrived for a scheduled eyebrow appointment and had to wait for about 30 minutes.
