I always leave feeling like my hair is wrong because Jade remarks - in a negative tone - on it being really thick and in need of a trim. The last time I went I asked for a fountain fringe, but I don't think you could call it that because it isn't a-symmetrical - with the hair shorter further away from my face, rather than the other way around. There are always weird really short bits of hair on my head where Jade was evidently over-zealous in thinning it. The salon itself is often quite dirty and is shared with a chiropractor, so you can sometimes hear grunting as people's knots are worked out just over the partition. What a fantastic gym! The welcoming atmosphere is a major plus, and having a top-notch weights gym upstairs for all your strength and conditioning needs is a great perk. The trainers are truly top quality, with a wealth of knowledge and experience. Transitioning from another gym to train at MTI for the week was a truly wonderful experience. Aroha did my makeup and hair for my wedding. They were delightful to work with and they made me feel even more beautiful and confident on my special day when all eyes were on me and my partner. I have an oily scalp and fine, limp, almost lifeless hair, and Aroha managed to add volume to my locks. Terrible ordeal. Twice visited this spot, twice left dissatisfied. First time for a Kiwi, out in under 10min with shoddy work. Today, saw the sign "Walk-ins welcome," got underarms done messily and eyebrows with a cut on my eyelid, bleeding. Lady's excuse was "busy, no time for walk-ins, but took me in anyway." My response: you could have turned me away or booked another time. Rude lady, awful experience. I take a dip in the hydrotherapy pool with my crew. The water is always warm and has a bit of a flow, which is cool. I love my swim every time. The pool team are happy to lend us noodles and swim jackets if we want, and they'll fetch them if they're put away. They're always kind and polite. Once, a swimmer from another area banged on our doors while we were changing. The staff took him back and said sorry, assuring it wouldn't happen again. And it hasn't. What I adore about this pool is the clock on the wall with the right time. It's up high so everyone can see clearly.
