As a regular patron here, I typically find this place enjoyable to visit on weekends. However, I have noticed a decline in the level of customer service recently. There was a specific staff member (individual with ginger hair, beard, and glasses) who was particularly rude and unhelpful. When inquired about the various types of room deodorizers available, they either did not bother to explain or seemed unaware. Additionally, there has been a significant price hike from $40 to $80 per bottle for a medium-sized bottle of deodorizer, with no official price tags displayed on the shelf. The pedicure was decent, using only gel. However, the issue arose with the manicure. I usually opt for SNS nails. They suggested SNS clear base with gel on top. Unfortunately, the SNS wasn't filed smoothly or the edges weren't trimmed near the cuticles. The gel coating was thick, uneven, and didn't cover the tips completely. It started chipping off before I even reached home. I've had a one on one haka therapy session with Aroha, haka teaching mentoring with her and attended her ‘infusing tradition into movement’ workshop. In all of the experiences with Aroha, I felt seen and held. Aroha has a way of presence and receptivity which allows her to know exactly what I needed in practice and theory. All of my encounters with Aroha have been incredibly enriching in my own haka practice as well as my teaching of haka. As a new parent, I found Aroha's workshops and mentoring to be integrative and a perfect bite size as I find a lot of haka trainings to be immersions and inaccessible to me at this time.
