Decided on a gel spa Pedi with French tip addition, priced at $70. The spa Pedi in a massage chair was divine, complete with a foot massage. They used 2 lamps for quick painting! Plenty of chairs available for group bookings. The pharmacy staff are also very helpful, and I receive my prescriptions and medications promptly, especially compared to other pharmacies in New Plymouth. I adored what Kendall did with my hair, and was the ultimate hair pampering experience.. so serene! The salon appeared clean. I paid $65 for a spa pedicure and the removal of old gel. I declined a massage and they offered a partial refund. The spa water was tepid to cold. The male technician used a drill to remove all the old gel, which heats the nail and can cause skin irritation. There was no foot or heel scrub, nor was there any effort to remove old skin. He even used his nail under my toenail to steady my toe while painting, lacking care. Placing my feet into the dryer was done haphazardly, causing my toes to repeatedly hit the equipment's top despite my efforts to avoid it. The nail cuts were uneven, and the color application was poorly done. The whole process felt rushed. Typically, leaving a salon, one's feet and toes feel refreshed and clean. Unfortunately, mine do not. I'll have to scrub them myself. This store seems a bit dull compared to the one in the valley. Perhaps it's because it has been around for so long, I can't even recall when it was established. The upper car park could use some improvement, it's not very appealing. However, the downstairs section is decent.
