Had high hopes as the consultation was friendly and the individual (I'm assuming a senior stylist) seemed very knowledgeable. However, the service and cut itself were underwhelming. The scalp massage was virtually non-existent. I ended up just getting my very thick hair thinned out and straightened, with minimal styling, not worth the $95 I paid. The individual was quite rough and seemed irritable towards the end of my cut, possibly due to another client who was dissatisfied with their coloring/styling session. To be frank, without his guidance and the support of Whaea Jackie, I may have considered dropping out. Kahu is straightforward, supportive, and attentive to our needs as students. He goes above and beyond to address our concerns and find solutions. Despite his busy schedule, he patiently provides examples for those of us who may struggle with learning, particularly when it comes to mastering cutting angles. Kahu is a genuine and empathetic tutor who truly cares about our progress. And no, he didn't ask me to write this!
